Rooney’s Hardwood Floors is owned and operated by Rich Rooney, a fifth generation Coloradoan. Growing up on the historic Rooney Ranch, Rich began learning his trade at an early age and has spent his lifetime expanding his knowledge and refining his skills. Rich comes from a long line of craftsmen who took pride in their work and their relationships. His grandfather, a respected stonemason whose handiwork still stands in neighboring communities, taught Rich to work hard, be honest and that the most important thing in life is to do for other people. Rich has honored these lessons well and approaches each project with joy and passion. By combining his extensive experience in his craft with state of the art technology and materials Rich creates superior, unique flooring and accourtrements. He provides expert training and education to his crew, and passes along his enthusiasm as well as respect for his customers. Rich's talent is evident in his showcase home where he has incorporated the stone walls of the original Rooney Ranch with exquisite hardwoods to create a seamless blend of warmth and elegance. Rich genuinely enjoys his work and likes helping his customers create beauty in their surroundings. |
| The Rooney Ranch is a national historic landmark and the oldest Colorado Centennial Farm with the same family residing in the original dwellings. 4,480 acres were purchased from military patents and from the Union Pacific. The Homestead Deed was signed on May 20, 1862 by Ulysses S. Grant. more>> |
